The subject of research is theoretical-methodological and applied principles of assessment and applied mechanisms of regulation of migration activity of the population of the Carpathian region. The purpose of the study is to develop methodological approaches to assessing the migratory activity of the population and substantiate the directions of its regulation. Theoretical and applied and methodological aspects of the study of migration activity of the population are generalized, in particular the content of concepts: "migration activity of the population" and "socio-economic polarization" is specified, conceptual bases of research of migration activity of the population are developed and the methodology of its complex analysis is developed. The analysis of internal and external environment of formation and realization of migration activity of the population of the Carpathian region of Ukraine is carried out. The factors of pull-push environment of migration are estimated. The sociological measurement of migration activity of student and pupil youth is carried out. Socio-economic and political-legal characteristics of the main recipient countries of migrants from the Carpathian region are generalized. Problems of integration of migrants from Ukraine in the receiving society are revealed. Demographic and socio-economic consequences of migration activity of the population of the Carpathian region are estimated. Priorities, mechanisms and institutional forms of cooperation in the field of regulation of migration activity of the population of the Carpathian region of Ukraine are substantiated.
