The purpose of this study is: - revealing the relationship between economic growth and development of multimodal transport corridors in the country, clarifying the historical background of the emergence and development of multimodal transport corridors, as well as outlining the principles of practical implementation of multimodal transport corridors in Ukraine through the prism of effective macroeconomic and structural regulation. / supranational and global levels; - increasing the efficiency of multimodal freight transportation by forming a risk management system based on the identification of transport risk factors, methods of measuring and managing both at the design (planning) stage of a multimodal route, and further - to assess their possible impact on freight efficiency in general. The paper examines the organization of multimodal freight in the context of transport risk management, which involves the choice of such control effects on the elements of the transport system (logistics centers, transport hubs, different modes of transport, freight units, specific transport companies and their rolling stock, packaging etc.), in which the delivery of goods would be carried out with the most efficient and high-quality indicators under the given initial conditions and existing restrictions. The result is: - justification for making proposals for optimal links between the elements of multimodal freight on the basis of an effective risk management system, which is a special type of management activities aimed at mitigating the impact of risk groups, determining the allowable (acceptable) level of risk based on methods , which avoid losses that occur as a result of a specific risk; -the methodical approach to the choice of the optimal multimodal transport-technological scheme is offered, which allows to consider subjective criteria (completeness of service, reliability, etc.) as determining under conditions of rather identical cost and time of alternative variants of del
