The aim of the work is to create and improve methods and models of contact tribomechanics, calculation of wear and reliability of bearing tribosystems to predict their durability at the stage of design and optimization of design and technological characteristics. The research used a comprehensive systems approach to analyze the processes of friction and wear as a system of complex phenomena. The general methodology of research of methods of calculation of wear of bearing tribosystems includes definition; initial operating conditions of the node; lubrication conditions; tribological properties of materials using wear models; wear, contact pressure, friction characteristics; reliability criteria of the wear friction unit. As a result of the conducted researches: systematized calculation schemes and problems for sliding bearings; solutions of wear-contact problems for sliding bearings for various geometrical schemes and operating conditions are carried out; probabilistic models of sliding bearing wear have been developed: slip and rolling processes in bearing rolling tribosystems have been studied; developed methods and algorithms for predicting the wear and reliability of bearing tribosystems; engineering predictions of wear resistance of sliding and rolling bearings of transport and technological machines are offered. Methods for assessing the wear resistance of the reliability of sliding and rolling bearings adopted for implementation in the educational process and in transport and research and experimental enterprises.
