popup.description2
The aim of the study is to determine the physiological, biochemical, endocrine, and immunological changes in ATO / OOS veterans with PTSD compared to healthy individuals in order to select some of them as biomarkers for future studies of the effectiveness of new treatments; assess the extent of these changes to rationally select the optimal interventions that would correct the identified changes and further clinical trials will be conducted; to determine chromosomal stability in patients, structural and quantitative aberrations according to the assessment of nucleoli.
In the course of the work, a number of diagnostic examinations were performed for patients from the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Western Region (VMCC ZR); Lviv Regional Clinical Psychiatric Hospital - ATO / OOS veterans hospitalized for treatment and/or rehabilitation. The list of performed diagnostic limitations included "cardio block": heart rate variability (HRV), including orthostatic test, 24-hour ECG monitoring (Holter ECG), 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, and "endocrinological/metabolic block". Considerable attention in the format of studies performed in the "endocrinology / metabolic unit" was paid to the establishment of correlations of carbohydrate metabolism parameters (fasting blood glucose, HBA1c, and surrogate indices of sensitivity/resistance to insulin) with anthropometric data and HRV.
