The degree of CsI capturing by iodine (as CsI3 or CsI5) is not efficient and it decreases at the decrease of rates of stirring and reagent dosage. The treatment of the formed Cs2SO4 solution with Ba(OH)2 results in the removal of admixture of heavy and alkaline earth metals. The following carbonization of the mentioned solution does not result in the co-precipitation of sodium admixture (as Na2CO3) with BaCO3.
