Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2  The project is aimed at theoretical and experimental study of the processes of excitation, radiation and scattering of electromagnetic fields occurring in structures consisting of two-dimensional periodic screens of finite thickness, perforated with apertures of complex shape. One of the main results of the second stage of the project is the development of the operator method and the partial domain method for solving three-dimensional diffraction problems on one- and two-layer metal screens perforated with coaxial-sector apertures. A comparative analysis of methods for solving diffraction problems on metal screens of finite thickness. The scientific component of the work consists in a strict mathematical theory of solving three-dimensional boundary diffraction problems, methods and algorithms for calculating the electrodynamic characteristics of metal screens perforated with apertures of complex shape. In the second stage of the work special attention is paid to the study of two extreme forms of coaxial-sector waveguides: coaxial-rib and coaxial-comb. The obtained results allow to create wide-band antenna arrays, wider in comparison with screens with rectangular apertures. It is shown that the metasurface with the segments of coaxial-rib waveguides transforms an incident linearly polarized wave into a reflected wave with circular polarization.
