It is established that the use of surfacing of sublayer of steel type 08kp allows, in contrast to the sublayer of low-alloy structural steel type 12XM, to increase fatigue life of parts operated under conditions of intense cyclic mechanical and thermal loads - rolling rolls, rollers continuous casting machine and other implements. The growth rate of fatigue cracks in different layers of multilayer deposited material was experimentally studied and a kinetic diagram of fatigue failure was constructed. The maximum values of the stress intensity factor (SIF) obtained on samples with multilayer surfacing with a sublayer of 08kp, 2… 3 times higher than the maximum values of SIF obtained on samples without a sublayer. Similar studies have been conducted on reductive surfacing. It is shown that the performance of repair surfacing according to the scheme of removal and subsequent surfacing of only areas of metal with fatigue cracks does not lead to a significant increase in cyclic durability after repair surfacing. To increase the efficiency of repair surfacing, it is recommended to remove the entire deposited layer to the depth of the detected fatigue cracks, followed by restorative surfacing.
