The model is based on the relations of the geometrically nonlinear theory of middle bending shells under the assumptions of the classical and refined Tymoshenko type of shell theories. The formulation of the problem of bending cylindrical shells with an elliptical cross section with oblique sections is given. The equation of the theory of shells on the basis of the hypothesis of a straight line is chosen for the weekend. The approach to the solution is based on the parameterization of the shell surface, the reduction of a two-dimensional boundary value problem to a one-dimensional one using the spline-collocation method. The problem of free oscillations of cylindrical shells with different cross section according to the classical theory of shells is given, the initial relations of problems of dynamics of plates of the Rayleigh-Ritz method and the initial relations of problems of dynamics of plates and shells of the finite element method are given.
