The aim of the work is to develop, create and study samples of new functional film materials, in particular to create multilayer multicomponent films with minimal residual mechanical stresses and interlayer mixing and to develop physical bases for growing single-phase TiZrNi films (QC, approximate phases, Laves phases). Research methods - X-ray phase analysis, high-resolution electron beam microscopy, macrotribotester with reciprocating motion (sliding) of a ball of steel or silicon nitride. For the first time it was shown that in TiZrNi coating, depending on the purposefully created phase composition and its combinations, the hardness is 6GPa - 24GPa, the Young's modulus is 80GPa - 220GPa, the hardness to Young's modulus ratio is 0.078-1.13 (almost as in materials with highest strength), wear is 10-8-10-10 mm3/N*mm when sliding a solid ball of Si3N4, heat capacity is 320J/kg*K, thermal conductivity is 4.3 W / m2K (abnormally low thermal conductivity), resistivity is (2.2-2.8)*106Ohm*m. Thus, under optimal conditions, a solid and flexible coating with low wear during sliding is formed The intensities of Compton and Rayleigh scattering of hard X-rays on multilayer compositions Mo/Si, Mg/Si, Mg2Si/Si and additionally manufactured multilayer WC/Si coatings were studied for the first time.
