I. Mechnikov National University popup.description2 As a result of the project tasks important theoretical and practical results in the fields of marine microbiology and biotechnology were obtained. More than 30 strains of bacteria have been isolated and identified from various Black Sea habitats: water, soil and aquatic organisms. Screening of isolates for the ability to produce biosurfactants using the drop-collapse test showed that the largest number of surfactants were synthesized by bacteria isolated from the surface of mussel wings collected in oil-contaminated areas of the Black Sea near the port of Odessa. Isolated strains were identified as Pseudomonas aeruginosa (three strains M1, M3 and M4), Alcaligenes faecalis M1, Bacillus subtilis MC3 and Bacillus atrophaeus MH4. After mono- and co-cultivation in three types of cultures (suspension, biofilm and dense) 45 samples of secondary metabolites were obtained. Technological schemes for obtaining biosurfactants have been developed and the efficiency of bioSAC synthesis under different conditions of marine bacteria cultivation has been evaluated. The most significant new knowledge gained during the poroject is the establishment of a direct link between the level of pollution of the sea and the ability of isolated bacteria to produce biosurfactants. It has been shown for the first time that bioSACs synthesized by bicomponent associations of marine bacteria show higher antimicrobial and antibiofilm activity compared to samples of the corresponding monocultures. The highest level of glycolipid bioSACs synthesis and their emulsifying activity was registered in co-cultures of Bacillus subtilis MC3 with Pseudomonas aeruginosa M1 and Alcaligenes faecalis M1. A comparison of the properties of 15 strains of Bacillus sp. Isolated from the water near “Dolphin” Beach in Odessa in June 2019, and 12 strains of Bacillus sp. Isolated in the same place in June 2020, showed that after 7 months of finding the tanker Delphi on The hydrophobicity of cells and their ability to produce Product Description popup.authors Galkin Boris M.
