Research purpose: to identify and study the English Language units in diachrony and synchrony, axiologems of linguoculture, linguopragmatic characteristics of political and media discourse, discourse markers, character speech parameters of British drama. Research methods: methods of linguistic description, transformational, contextual, discourse, conceptual, component analyses. Results and their novelty the factors of formation of a fixed word order in English, linguopragmatic characteristics of political and media discourse, character speech of British drama, epistemic modality markers are researched. The results are highlighted in publications indexed in the Scopus database, professional publications, and articles. Characteristics of the research results: structural, cognitive and communicative features of units of different language levels are investigated. Research significance and practical application research results are valuable for discursology, pragmatics, cognitive studies, historical grammar and lexicology, and can be used to train specialists in the higher education system, in particular in courses of lectures on linguistic disciplines, in writing qualification papers.
