In the Eastern Plains Ecoregion, the floristic structure of algae communities, structural changes in bottom communities with the dominance of attached mollusks are proposed as bioindicators of climate changes; in the Carpathian Ecoregion - changes in the spatial distribution of bottom communities with increasing altitude and changes in the altitude location of carp and salmon fish; in the Hungarian Lowland Ecoregion - alien thermophilic species of invertebrates and fish; in the Pontic Province Ecoregion - thermophilic species of Sino-Indian fauna, oxyphilic and brackish-water species of Ponto-Caspian fauna. It is established that climate changes and anthropogenic impact, accompanied by the transformation of hydrophysical and hydrochemical regimes, contribute to the formation of conditions in some water bodies that support the existence and reproduction of stable populations of invasive alien species (fish, invertebrates, and their parasites) – the source for further expansion into major European invasive corridors. For the first time, climate changes have been found to affect the deposition of excess CO2 through the transformation of autotrophic (microalgae and macrophytes) and heterotrophic (macroinvertebrates and fish) components of freshwater ecosystems.
