New approaches to the classification of deposited metal from the point of view of assessing its tendency to form reheat cracks made by multilayer microplasma powder surfacing have been formed. They are based on the method of estimating the weld metal in the state immediately after surfacing, the maximum bending angle to crack, impact strength, the value of critical destructive deformation and characterize the course of the welding thermodeformation cycle.
