The aim of the work is to study and analyze the historical aspects and theoretical foundations of the European integration vector of Ukraine, as well as to study the problems associated with the implementation of the European integration course of the state at the present stage. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that European integration for Ukraine is a further political and institutional rapprochement with the EU and evolutionary progress towards the ultimate goal of integration into the European Union. The current conditions of Ukraine’s development, including the new challenges and additional risks facing its economy, social sphere and even independence in connection with Russia’s military aggression, require the introduction of new approaches to solving problems in all spheres of life. Therefore, it is important to adapt Ukrainian legislation, economy, regional, social and language policies to EU and Council of Europe norms as key elements of integration, as well as to deepen Ukraine's relations with NATO as one of the main components of a comprehensive European stability and security system.
