The purpose of the work is to develop a scientific and methodological manual on the methodological principles of forensic linguistic examination, which will serve as a basis for the development of the fundamental principles of forensic linguistic examination. Research methods are general scientific and special: formal-logical, observational, descriptive, comparative, modeling, linguistic-statistical, semantic-syntactic, lexical-grammatical, logical-grammatical, discursive, intent-analysis, content-analysis, Theoretical and practical results – the methods, research methods of linguistic expertise, cognitive activity of the linguist expert, which serve as the basis for the methodological foundations of forensic linguistic expertise in order to solve authorial and semantic-textual tasks, are analyzed. General methods of research during forensic linguistic examination are specified. Specific linguistic methods of solving authorial and semantic-textual tasks, which are used by linguist experts when solving certain types of linguistic tasks, are singled out.
