it has been proven that neopterin is a marker of activation of cellular immunity in various pathologies of the body; it was determined that apoptosis of lymphocytes can contribute to the resolution of uveitis; it was proved that an increase in the frequency of heterozygote G/A polymorphism rs759853 accompanied the development of T2DM without retinopathy; an increase in the frequency of A/A mutant homozygotes accompanied the development of DR, and to a greater extent – its proliferative variant; with increasing severity of the pathological process and progression of DR, a clear pattern is noted - an increase in the frequency of the ancestral allele G and a decrease in the frequency of the mutant allele A of the rs9640883 polymorphism of the AKR1B1 gene; the proven effect of the rs2010963 polymorphism on the level of VEGFA in VOR and the relationship with gender, the presence of DPR and neovascularization of the DZN; for the rs699947 polymorphism, the influence of the genotype on MGZK, TTS, the level of VEGFA in the VOR, the presence of DPR and hemophthalmos was proven; it was established that with experimental hypothyroidism, the level of lipid peroxidation products in the tissues of the conjunctiva and cornea increases; it was found that with hypothyroidism, the concentration of malondialdehyde in the tear fluid increases by 1.5 times - in the initial stage and by 1.65 times - in the severe stage of hypothyroidism.
