The project is directed to development of a method of controlling the structure and properties of the working surfaces of steel parts by means of nanostructuring by electrospark alloying (ESA). The mechanisms of nanostructuring during ESA were established, the structure, phase composition and properties of coatings were investigated. The mathematical analytical model of the formation of electrospark coating using the iterative-recursive method was developed. On the basis of experimental and theoretical studies, recommendations are proposed for the development of technologies for increasing the durability of important parts of machines by ESA methods
