Properties have been studied and polymer components have been selected in order to develop formaldehyde-free antibacterial systems for processing textile materials of various raw compositions and purposes using polyhexamethylene guanidine chloride as the main antimicrobial agent. A technology has been developed for fixing polyhexamethylene guanidines on fibre using formaldehyde-free binders. Using the disk method, the antimicrobial activity of samples of textile materials treated with compositions containing the antimicrobial agent polyhexamethylene guanidine chloride was determined. Studies have been carried out to establish the effect of antibacterial treatment on the physical and mechanical properties of textile materials.
