The increasing the density of information recording, its stable storage and increasing the speed of access to it are priority problems in the field of material support of information technologies. One of the directions for solving these issues is the use of textured nanosystems. Emphasis is placed on plane layered antiferromagnetic cells with in-plane orientation of magnetization. In such systems, it is easy to ensure compensation of scattering fields, temperature and field stability of magnetic states.
The dynamics of synthetic antiferromagnetic systems significantly depends on the exchange connection between the magnetic layers of an artificial nanocell. One of the aims of the project is an attempt to create a SAF with an interlayer, the magnetic properties of which are modulated by moderate changes in temperature close to room values. The search for new compounds based on perovskite manganites and comprehensive research of their physical properties are due to this.
A strong relationship between transport and magnetic properties is observed in these metal oxide materials. Explanations for this involve the use of various models, including the double exchange (DE) interaction, the Jahn–Teller effect, the polaron effect, phase separation, and critical phenomena. In addition, to explain the magnetotransport properties of non-stoichiometric manganites, the importance of the additional component of DE mechanism via the path Mn 3+ ↔ O 2- ↔ Mn 2+↔ O 2- ↔ Mn 4+ was recently shown.
The creation of chemical defects in the perovskite structure can lead to the appearance and enhancement of ferromagnetic (FM) properties, as well as to fine-tuning of the MCE: magnetic entropy change (DSM) and Curie temperature (TC). It was for this purpose that the structure, phase composition, morphology, and size of a polycrystalline sample of non-stoichiometric manganite La0.9Mn1.1O3 were synthesized and determined.
