An analysis of the existing experience in the storage of high-level waste containing nuclear materials was carried out. A comparative analysis of existing containers for storing radioactive waste and nuclear materials was carried out. Safety criteria for the handling and storage of fuel-containing materials in containers have been defined. Neutron-physical models were developed and calculations were carried out to determine the characteristics of fuel-containing materials.
