For the first time, an antimicrobial drug with black cumin oil was developed in the form of suppositories for the treatment of vaginitis. According to microbiological studies, among oils of plant origin (black cumin, pumpkin, hemp, milk thistle, and rye), black cumin oil was selected as the most promising. The optimal composition of the medicinal product with black cumin oil in the form of suppositories and the technology of their production have been developed. A high antimicrobial effect of the developed composition of suppositories against museum microorganisms and clinical isolates - gram-positive strains of S. aureus, S. epidermidis, S. pyogenes, B. cereus and B. subtilis and yeast-like fungi of the genus Candida, and somewhat lower - against gram-negative strains of E. coli, P. aeruginosa. The anti-inflammatory effect of suppositories with black cumin oil and their harmlessness according to the parameters of acute and subchronic toxicity were established. The stability of the developed composition of the suppositories during the research period (24 months) was determined. The results of the NDR will be used to introduce a new antimicrobial drug based on black cumin oil for the treatment of vaginitis into medical practice.
