Aim of research: Study of the interaction of RNA viruses with cell membranes, and study of electronic processes in viruses and their RNA and proteins. Methods of research: measurement of absorption, fluorescence and phosphorescence spectra of viruses and their components (RNA and proteins), as well as cells, uninfected and infected with the virus. Suspension cultures of carp epithelial cells, uninfected and infected with infectious hematopoietic necrosis virus (IHNV), were adapted. Absorption, fluorescence and phosphorescence spectra of cells uninfected and infected with the INN virus were recorded. It was shown that infection of cells as a result of interaction with cell membrane, penetration and accumulation of the virus in the cell is manifested in changes in the phosphorescence spectrum in the 600 nm region. The concentration of free calcium in the cytoplasm of the cell suspension was measured using a fluorescent probe, and no differences between uninfected and infected cells were recorded. Virions of the virus with single-stranded RNA – INNV, its RNA and proteins were isolated, and their absorption, fluorescence, phosphorescence, radiation anisotropy spectra and phosphorescence decay curves were measured. The close structure of RNA phosphorescence spectra of single- and double-stranded RNA viruses (IHNV and IPNV, respectively) and the presence of two emission centers in these spectra were shown.  Product Description popup.authors Artemenko Oleksandr Yu.
