Vernadskii Institute of General & Inorganic Chemistry NAS of Ukraine popup.description2  SnO2 films samples doped by Pd and Pt catalysts were tested by the resistive method in methanol, ethanol, propanol, butanol, acetone, benzene, toluene vapors with contents 0.4-10 ppm. It was established that the highest sensitivity (content of 0.4 ppm vapors of these substances in the air) was observed for the film composition SnO2/3wt%Pd, 1wt%Pt. It is also shown that thin films of tungsten trioxide with a platinum catalytic layer and films of nickel hydroxide have high optical sensitivity (in the range of 10-1000 ppm) to hydrogen, chlorine and formaldehyde vapors, which can be promising in the development of gas and vapors of volatile organic substances multisensors.
