Staphylococcus aureus is not isolated in 43.7% of samples of raw, freshly milked milk obtained by milking cows with a milking unit with an ADM-200 milk pipe, 39.1% of samples contain S. aureus up to 100 CFU/cm3, and 17.2% of samples contain up to 200 CFU/cm3. The norm of the content of Staphylococcus aureus in raw milk, which is ≤500 CFU in 1 cm3, is scientifically justified and meets the requirements of the countries of the European Union. It is possible to transfer raw milk for processing with a content of Staphylococcus aureus ≤500 CFU/cm3 if it is milked from healthy cows, with the use of effective sanitary processing of milking equipment and the introduction of rapid cooling of collected milk to +6 - +2 °С and its transfer to processing no later than after 20 hours. Staphylococci that circulate on dairy farms represent a large reservoir of genes for resistance to antimicrobial drugs, which in the process of obtaining milk can contaminate it and be transmitted to humans. Therefore, it is necessary to establish permanent control over the release of not only MRSA, but also other staphylococci resistant to β-lactam antibiotics.
