The authors have developed: 1) a Ukrainian-language methodology for assessing the impact of a traumatic event to reflect the reaction to potentially traumatic media content and a local study was conducted to adapt it culturally; 2) a methodology for assessing the effect of co-presence in media perception (children's and adolescent versions); 3) a questionnaire for parents on media trauma in children and two versions of the media trauma scale for adolescents and primary school students. Local research was conducted to adapt the methods with participants in the educational process (400 people were interviewed). In accordance with WHO recommendations, 12 English-language methods were translated for medical purposes. Three sets of methods for diagnosing war-related media trauma as part of post-trauma for children of three age categories were developed: for children aged 4-7, 8-13 and 14-18.
