The research objects are the perennial cereal-legume grass mixtures genetic potential; biological features of drought-resistant leguminous and cereal perennial grasses and leguminous-cereal grass mixtures; morphological, economic and useful features of perennial grasses of the steppe ecotype. Research methods are laboratory-field, analytical, economic. A comparative analysis of the created grass stands economic and beneficial properties was carried out and the most productive and adapted to the extremely arid conditions of the Ukraine Southern Steppe were determined for feeding sheep fodder agrocenoses for. In the Ukraine steppe zone arid conditions following set of perennial grasses and their grass mixtures is recommended for creating a pasture for sheep: bunch grass (Psathyrostachys juncea), crested wheat grass (Agropyron cristatum), Smooth brome (Bromus inermis), intermediate wheatgrass (Thinopyrum intermedium), and their grass mixtures with sand sainfoin (Onobrychis arenaria), which ensure a green mass yield of 120.2-180, 4 c/ha. An energy-saving technology for creating pastures for sheep using drought-resistant species of perennial grasses adapted to the extreme climatic conditions of Southern Ukraine has been developed. A database of the productivity of the researched grass stands, nutrition and quality of the obtained fodder has been created. Product Description popup.authors Kubatko Pavlo M. Kuzebnyi Serhii V.
