Modern cases of cultural and civilizational transformations are analyzed based on a comprehensive cultural approach along with the tracing of specific cultural practices that cause them (or at least indirectly influence them). Interesting observations of the implementation of certain cultural practices of ancient and modern times were made; the considered cases were analyzed from theoretical and applied positions. The importance of cultural heritage preservation problems against the background of the regrettable lack of a comprehensive museum and exhibition policy (primarily in Ukraine, but due to many factors in the modern world as well) is substantiated. The increased involvement of the modern average representative of the Western type of civilization in the visual content of mass consumption (series and other modern forms of iconology) was monitored. The influence of visual presentation on the mass perception of such topics as the pandemic and full-scale military confrontation in recent years has been confirmed
