popup.description1
Research, development and implementation of quantum technologies (for example, quantum communication networks, quantum key distribution (QKD), quantum random number generation, etc.) in various scientific and industrial fields is realized by solving interdisciplinary applied scientific tasks and the subsequent integration of various technologies into the final product.
popup.description2
The object of research is the interaction of the electromagnetic field of the microwave range in planar resonant systems with a magnetic sample. The purpose of the work is to determine the influence of the resonators’ parameters (geometry and material properties) and the magnetic field on increasing of the photon-magnon coupling strength between planar resonators and the spin system of the magnetic sample, as well as enhancement of the Faraday effect in the infrared range using metasurfaces with magneto-optical elements. For an inverted split-ring resonator (ISRR) with an yttrium-iron garnet (YIG) film, the highest values of the normalized photon-magnon coupling strength and cooperativity were achieved for the ISRR with protrusions of the conducting element. A very large value (3.57 Hz) of the spin-number-normalized photon-magnon coupling strength was numerically obtained for a resonator in the form of a split-ring (SRR) with periodic metal strips and a YIG film. For the ISRR loaded with the YIG sample and controlled by a varactor diode, it was numerically shown that the structure with the varactor diode with capacitance of 0.01 pF exhibits a relatively large value (3.41 Hz) of the spin-number-normalized photon-magnon coupling strength. Numerical modeling of a waveguide defect with a lumped capacitance made it possible to achieve a spin-number-normalized photon-magnon coupling strength of 10.3 Hz. Additionally, it is shown that the use of a magnetic core in the SRR in the case when the YIG film is placed between the stripline and the SRR at the maximum of the alternating magnetic field leads to an increase in the value of the spin-number-normalized photon-magnon coupling strengths by 2.0 times compared to the case without the magnetic core. It was numerically shown that the application of gold strips on the surface of a thin YIG film leads to an increase in the Faraday effect in the infrared range at an oblique incidence by 80 times.
