The modern regularities of the agenda of the official institutional language policy of the Council of Europe regarding sign languages ​​have been studied, in particular the justification of the ecologically motivated desire to recognize, preserve, maintain, prevent the loss of sign languages ​​(SL), legal standards for the protection of linguistic minorities and the fight against discrimination, the expanded range of obligations the terms of service of interpreters of the ZM, which are equated with the translators of the SM with regard to tasks, content, functions, ethical principles of professional activity; regulation of the use of sign languages ​​within or between EU institutions, with member countries, their citizens and outside the European Union.
