It has been proven that the applied complex of methods is really effective and allows to sufficiently correctly generate the nature of changes in the temperature field of the sample under study. It was found that the thinning of the nodes of the adaptive grid on the temperature-invariant areas is insufficient, and this is due to the heterogeneity of the coating material. Based on the simulation results, the processing of abrasive was carried out and the feasibility of using laser radiation to form the working layer of the abrasive tool was proved. The research is mainly focused on the irradiation of abrasive grains with a laser with a wavelength of λ = 10.6 μm. The static strength of the grains of abrasive materials was measured before and after laser irradiation using a DA-2 measuring device according to a standard method. Bronze and nickel powders were used as a binding material. They were mixed with grains of abrasive material and applied to steel support plates with subsequent laser irradiation of the formed layer. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to study the microstructure of the samples along with local and integral X-ray elemental analysis. The interaction between the laser beam and the grains of abrasive materials was studied in detail, and the relationships between the main technological parameters and the quality of the composites (grain durability, wear resistance, and bond strength) were established.
