The aim of the work is to identify pedagogical conditions and effective methods, to develop practical approaches that contribute to the effective formation of professional competence of foreign language teachers, taking into account modern educational standards, methodological innovations, and intercultural context. Research methods: theoretical (analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature, comparative analysis of international experience); empirical (observation, questionnaires, interviews with teachers and higher education students); statistical (quantitative and qualitative analysis of research results). The structure of the professional competence of foreign language teachers has been refined (linguistic, methodological, communicative, sociocultural, digital, and reflective components). approaches to the formation of professional competence based on the integration of traditional and digital teaching methods have been developed; methodological recommendations for the implementation of innovative technologies (podcasts, e-learning platforms, cooperative methods) have been proposed; the effectiveness of interactive methods and digital tools has been determined. Based on the results of the research, a conceptual model for the formation of professional competence has been developed, taking into account the principles of autonomy, academic mobility, and ICT integration; the role of reflection and critical thinking as basic factors in the professional development of modern teachers has been substantiated.
