The aim of the research is to determine ways to effectively use the genetic resources of Ukrainian carp breeds and their structural units to create new high-yielding carp massifs by synthetic selection and obtain new promising lines for industrial cultivation at different levels of aquaculture intensification and in different climatic zones.

In order to create new highly productive carp arrays and new promising lines for industrial cultivation using different levels of aquaculture intensification in different climatic zones, methods for effective use of genetic resources of various structural units of Ukrainian carp breeds have been identified.
In the process of carrying out scientific work, the most productive crosses were selected and breeding herds of carp of the first selection generation were formed, obtained taking into account the genetic characteristics of the structural units of Ukrainian breeds. Accordingly, the conducted studies allowed us to determine the patterns of inheritance of the main indicators of productivity.
