The study examines the historical evolution of economic legislation, its current condition, and key challenges in regulating economic, financial, and investment relations. Special attention is given to the impact of wartime conditions on state economic policy, budgetary processes, and the protection of economic security, highlighting the role of law in ensuring national economic resilience. The research identifies legal inconsistencies between civil and commercial regulation and outlines priority areas for modernization in line with European Union standards. A significant part of the results is devoted to a comparative legal analysis of criminal law instruments used to protect economic relations and counter economic crime, corruption, and financial abuse. The findings and recommendations have practical relevance for legislative reform, law enforcement practice, the security and defense sector, and legal education, contributing to the development of a more resilient and transparent economic and legal framework in Ukraine.
