The theoretical and methodological foundations for identifying and grouping this type of problems are outlined, as well as the development (in global and Ukrainian geomorphology) of ideas, concepts, and paradigms related to geomorphogenesis and the principles of morphodynamics. The erosion dissection of the relief and the development of the erosion network are analyzed using GIS and remote sensing data, based on the example of the mountainous part of the Bystrytsia Tysmenytska River basin. The identification of topical issues in the study of fluvial morpholithogenesis in the Upper Dniester basin and in the assessment of anthropogenically driven changes in the morphology and morphodynamics of river channels in the Ukrainian Carpathians is substantiated. The problems related to the study of loess relief and the periglacial loess–soil sequence of the Pleistocene of Ukraine are examined. Issues concerning the study and rational use of anthropogenic relief in mining-industrial areas, the reclamation and revitalization of quarry–dump complexes, as well as the protection of relief and geoheritage sites of the Carpathian region of Ukraine are highlighted.
