Samples of water, sediments, and biofilms were collected according to standard protocols from both control sites and ecosystems affected by anthropogenic and military impacts. It was established that organic and chemical pollution alters the trophic balance: heterotrophic and saprotrophic organisms increase in abundance, while autotrophic groups decline. Indicator taxa were identified that can serve as markers of pollution levels. Correlation analysis revealed strong relationships between microbiological parameters and physicochemical characteristics of water (organic pollution, heavy metal concentrations, pH, dissolved oxygen). Models were developed to describe the dependence of microbial community structure on anthropogenic pressure. The findings provide practical tools for integral assessment of ecological status and for designing strategies of monitoring and restoration of aquatic ecosystems.
