The presence of nitroaromatic compounds, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and other xenobiotics in the soils was established, and their pronounced spatial heterogeneity was demonstrated. The toxic effects of explosive residues on model species of soil invertebrates were studied. Concentration-dependent changes in survival rates, acute toxicity, locomotor activity, and behavioral responses were revealed, confirming the relevance of bioindication and behavioral parameters for assessing soil ecological status. A series of vegetation experiments with agricultural crops was conducted, during which a reduction in germination energy, seed germination, and plant growth parameters under the influence of organic pollutants was established, as well as species-specific differences in sensitivity. The obtained results provide a scientific basis for the development of practical recommendations aimed at restoring agroecosystem productivity and reducing the risks of toxicant transfer into food chains. A substantial portion of the experimental data is currently under generalization and will be published at subsequent stages of the project. The research results have been implemented in the educational process during the preparation of lectures and practical classes for the courses “Food Toxicology,” “Environmental Safety,” “Environmental Impact Assessment,” “Ecological Soil Science,” “Environmental Education and Student Outreach,” and “Ecological Foundations of Land Reclamation” for undergraduate students majoring in Ecology, Biology, Secondary Education, and Agronomy.
