Presents the results of a study on advanced methods and systems of polarization, correlation, spectrophotometric, and singular optics in the tasks of comprehensive biomedical and printing diagnostics of phase-inhomogeneous media. The physical principles of optical signal formation in complex anisotropic structures, in particular biological tissues and printing materials characterized by spatial and phase inhomogeneity, are considered.
The capabilities of polarization-based methods, including the Mueller-matrix approach, are analyzed for determining the structural and optical parameters of the media. The application of correlation analysis for evaluating statistical characteristics of images and detecting hidden structural changes is highlighted. Spectrophotometric methods are investigated as a tool for identifying spectral features of objects and their functional state.
Special attention is paid to the methods of singular optics, in particular to the analysis of polarization singularities, which provide increased sensitivity to microstructural changes in phase-inhomogeneous media. The feasibility of a comprehensive combination of these approaches to improve the accuracy and informativeness of diagnostics is substantiated.
