popup.description1
The aim of this project is to develop innovative approaches to increasing the virus resistance of agricultural plants under the influence of pseudomonas metabolites as antiviral, growth-stimulating, and inducing factors.
popup.description2
Research report: 28 pages, 7 figures, 1 table, 24 citations, 1 appendix
Objects of the study – viral infections, integrated plant protection, resistance inducers.
The aim of the work is to investigate the productivity of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain ONU 301 as a producer of rhamnolipids (RhL) and polysaccharides (PS), to develop and optimize a method for heterophase extraction of these metabolites, to characterize the obtained fractions, to evaluate their antiviral activity against tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) and phytotoxicity for potential use in liposomal bionanocomposites (BNC) with antiphytoviral properties.
Research methods – virological, biochemical, physicochemical, molecular biological, immunological, as well as statistical and computer data analysis.
Keywords: Pseudomonas aeruginosa ONU 301, rhamnolipids, polysaccharides, antiviral activity, heterophase extraction, liposomal bionanocomposites, phytotoxicity.
