Work purpose - technology improvement for the purpose of improving some properties of corundum ceramics and the manufacture of trial lots of products. Research methods: chemical and spectral analysis, optical and electron microscopy, procedures for the determination of electrokinetic - potential and tonghness of slips, pH determination using pH-meter pH 673, standard procedures of open porosity determination as well as apparent density and compression strength of products samples. The research on the technology perfection of corundum ceramics for the purpose of improving its properties by means of ZrO2 additive introduction and using a fine dispersive reactive alumina of CT 3000 SG German company " Alcoa Wold Chemicals". Technological parameters during the manufacture of trial samples of products from corundum ceramica by means of slip casting as well as a thermoplastic and plastic shaping. The main indices of properties for 2 types of ceramics were determined with an additive of 10 % of ZrO2 and on the basis of CT 3000 SG alumina including bending 475 and 350 MPa conformably. According to the work results the technological instruction " The manufacture of corundum highrefractory ultradense products using a slip casting from alumina of CT 3000 SG brand of Alcoa company was worked out". In accordance with calendar plans to 16 contracts 20 standard sizes of products of КОМР and КОПМТ for different enterprises of Ukraine, Kharkov, Kharkov region, neighbouring and remote foreign contries were produced. The scientific work should be continued for the purpose of the corundum ceramics manufacturing technology with an additive of ZrO2, compiling the technical documentation, ascertaining rational employment sites of developed ceramics manufacture and testing trial lots of products as well as for the purpose of selecting electrolytes for an improvement of casting properties of slips from alumina CT 3000SG and its tecting in the technology of thermoplastic shaping.
