Work purpose - manufacture technology perfection of silicon carbide products on silicon nitride binder. Research methods - petrographycal, physicomechanical, roentgenphase, thermophysical. In this scientific work the formation processes of the coagulation structures from SiC and Si and large grained silicon carbide mix depending on the moisture, dispersivity, amount of SAS and grain composition were researched. An influence of boron nitride on the service properties of a refractory was studied. Optimum addition of BN in an amount of 3% was ascertained. The phase formation processes in different stages of firing using different schedules were researched. It was established that the formation of main phases of synthesis (Si3N4, Si2On2) proceeds already at temperatures 1350о C. Trial samples of products using procedures of vibratory casting and semidry casting were produced which had following properties after firing: - open porosity - 15,5 - 18,2% and 17,0 - 18,6%; - compression strength - 210 MPa, 140 - 155 MPa; - softening temperature under loading 0,2 MPa - 1700о C; - bending strength - 30 - 35 MPa; - content, % SiC - 68 - 70,4; N2 - 6,8 - 7,1; Si residual - 0,28 and 0,6. Indices of properties are mainly higher compared with properties of existing refractories. Scientific - technical documentation for the manufacture of highrefractory silicon carbide products on oxinitride silicon and nitride silicon containing binders was worked - out.
