Work purpose - technology elaboration of alumosilicate refractories for the service in reducing atmosphere and the production of trial lots. Research methods - petrographycal, chemical and thermomechanical. The research on the stability determination of mullite corundum ( Al2O3 - 91 - 93 %) refractories with different density against reducing atmosphere was carried - out. It was shown that dense refractories are stable against reducing medium at the temperature of 1580o C with an increase of open porosity of refractories from 13,9 up to 25,8%. The mass losses of samples are increased noticeably ( from 0,4 up to 5,3% relative) and open porosity is increased ( from 2,0 up to 22,8% relative). The change N 1 for ТУУ 14-7-179-99 . Trial lots of products with following indices of properties: mass share AL2O3 - 90,2 - 91,6 %, Fe2O3 - 0,18 - 0,6 %, open porosity 15,4 - 18,2 %, compression strength - 74,3 - 146 n/mm2, thermal stability ( 1300o C - water) - more than 20 heat cycles, softening temperature 1700 - 1720o C, additional shrinkage at 1600o C - 0,1 % were produced. Products possess minimum deviations in terms of dimensions ( +- 0,8mm). The technology elaboration of vibro cast large sized shaped mullite corundum products has been accomplished and trial lots of the tuyere belt for the stack furnace of the mettallization shop with improved indices of properties: open porosity is decreased frow 17,1 - 17,8 % up to 14,9 - 15,8 %; the thermal shock resistance was increased from 7 - 12 up to 20 heat cycles ( 1300o C - water). Trial lots of products for the reheating furnaces and the homogenization furnaces were produced: the reformer tee-joints; - the reformer pipes and the linings of reheating machines КИН -250 ; - diffusers; - framed brick; - shaped brick for the roof of the reheating furnace. Trial lots were sent to customers for testing. The scientific work should be continued for the putting into productionof items of new standard sizes.
