The work purpose - the technology improvement of cordierite ceramics of electrotechnical duty. The research methods are petrographical, chemical, physicomechanical. The research on the manufacturing technology improvement of cordierite products to be produced using the pressure casting from thermoplastic slips. An influence of different additins on the decrease of open porosity and an increase of compression strength of cordierite ceramics was researched. As a result of carried out research it was established that the utilization of additions of kaoline of Prosianowski deposit and B2O3 in an amount of 7 and 5% accordingly ensures a decrease of open porosity up to 28,0% and an increase of compression strength up to 98,0 MPa.On the basis of the research the changes to ТУУ 14-7-190-2000 with an introduction of improved indices of properties; open porosity - not more than 30%, compression strength - not lesser than 40 MPawere developed. An influence research of the thermal treatment on properties of cordierite ceramics and an influence of open porosity on the specific electrical resistance was carried out.
