Work purpose - manufacture technology putting into production of new standard sizes of siliconcarbide refractories by means of reaction sintering and manufacture of trial lots. Physico - mechanical, chemical and thermophysical research methods were used when carrying - out this work. Drying technological parometers of largesized products with a thickness more than 50 mm were more accurately specified in the course of manufacture technology of new standard sizes of refractories from silicon carbide on silicon nitride binder. The charging scheme of products into the muffle was specified more accurately: the vertical charging of products was worked - out which made possible to improve the main physico - chemical indices of products and to use sparingly the muffle volume as well as to increase a volume of fired products. A complete set of parts forms of a muffle intended for firing of products in nitrogen atmosphere. Siliconcarbide product from silicon nitride binder in the form of plates for assemibling of hermetic muffle were produced. A muffle model for firing of products in nitrogen atmosphere was assembled. Trial lots of silicon carbide products on silicon nitride binder using methods of vibrocasting, pressing and slip casting were produced in accordance with contracts. These contracts are in line with requirements of corresponding ТУ (technical specifications). The work should be continued for the purpose of putting into production of new sizetypes of siliconcarbide refractories and firing them in nitrogen atmosphere in a new muffle construction from silicon carbide.
