Head Romanenko Anatoliy Yefimovich, Registration Date 24-02-2006 Organization Research Centre for Radiation Medicine popup.description2 Objects of investigation were clean-up workers 1986-1990 with leukemias and related disoders from 6 regions of Ukraine. The aim of investigation was to reveal cases of leukemias, myelodysplastic syndrome and multiple myeloma among cogorth of clean-up workers 1986-1990 and the influence of radiation doses on them origin. Methods of investigation were clinacal, epidemiological and statistical. Results were: in formed cogorth of 110 645 clean-up workers from 6 regions of Ukraine (Kyiv city, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kharkyv and Dnipropetrivsk regions) were revealed and verified 86 leukemia cases, 8 multiple myeloma cases and 7 myelodysplastic syndrome cases diagnosed in 1987-2000. Among leukemias 49 cases were chronic lymphatic leukemia, 15 cases were chronic myelogenic leukemia, 18 cases were acute leukemia and 4 cases were large granulocyte leukemia. There was testified and modified the dosimetric calculation method - Realystic Analytical Dose Reconstruction with Uncertainty Estimation - RADRUE. Therewere established 614 doses of study subjects (82 cases ang 532 controls), the losses were 19 cases. The calculation of 10 000 dose realizations was made for all study subjects. Mean red bone marrow dose was 270 mGr, mean geometric was 12 mGr, geometric standart deviation was 11, minimum dose was 0,003 mGr, maximum dose was 3,2 Gr. The creation of Data Base and its quality control system provides the optimal conditions to recieve, storage and circulation of data and probability to form the Analythical Daba Base for further analysis of received results.
