Subject: nutrition status and indices of man and woman health. Techniques: hygienic and statistical methods. Goal: to study the effect of poor nutrition on the health status of inhabitants residing on contaminated with radionuclides territories. During 2004-2005 the real food consumption by 747 woman and 607 man has been studied. Carried out studies has shown that the diets of investigated persons were inferior and unbalanced as to main nutrients. It was shown, that the consumption of milk and dairy produce, meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, berries, curd, cheese, oil and butter was decreased in 2005 as compared with 2004. Consumption of macaroni, cereals and lard was excessive. Consumption of bread and bakery, potatoes was satisfy the physiological requirements. The analysis of protein (vegetable and animal origin), vitamin (A, E, C, D, carotines, folium) and mineral (potassium, calcium) composition of daily diets indicated that these important nutritional components were insufficient. Caloric value of such diets was deficient too. Aggravation of deficit correlated with the increase of population general disease and mortalitas. It was observed the increase of cardiovascular, hematopoietic, digestive, immune, respiratory, neuroendocrinous systems diseases and thyroid cancer incident rate. The data, obtained in 2004-2005 are necessary for further development of health alimentary prophylaxis measures for population residing in territories contaminated with radionuclides.
