Object of research - the extrusion processes of hollow parts with variable wall thickness which provide the diversification of products obtained. Methods of research - the basis of theoretical studies put the energy method of upper bound and finite element method. Experimental studies were conducted using the method of physical modeling and strain gauges for measuring technological effort and the method of coordinate grids to determine the strain state of preparations. To assess the accuracy of the results and the degree of convergence of theoretical and experimental studies have used methods of mathematical statistics. Theoretical and practical results - have developed methods of calculation, based on which developed a complex mathematical models for calculating the energy-force and deformation parameters of the processes forming the hollow parts with variable wall thickness. Novelty - were further developed on the basis of theoretical and experimental studies of dependence, which allow us to describe the value of active and reactive loads at the die tools radially direct extrusion and optimize in terms of the minimum load size of the instrument. Efficiency of introduction - results will expand the range and provide savings of material resources in the production of hollow parts with variable wall thickness. Scope - forging, pressing, stamping.
