The object of study - is servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The study goal - is to substantiate scientific and methodological approaches regarding the appointment and use of requirements for candidates for positions, on the basis of the methods of profession and the procedure for using the requirements for candidates for positions of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the preparation of personnel decisions. The study methods - system analysis, method of professionography. Main results of the study: analysed of the professional activity of servicemen studying at the National Defense University of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovsky, foreign and domestic experience was conducted on the order of developing relevant documents that determine the requirements for candidates for positions of military personnel and their use in the preparation of personnel decisions; the algorithm of application of methods of professionalism concerning the development of documents defining the requirements for candidates for positions of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is developed; the draft Methodological Recommendations on the Procedure for the Development and Application of Passports for Military Positions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine was elaborated. Proposed materials are to be realized in training process and preparation of students of National Defense University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi and further research on this science direction.
