Nevertheless, their activity has been largely discredited recently due to the big number of internal and external factors. Without claiming to solve all the problems of credit rating agencies, this paper provides recommendations on improving the methodology of credit rating agencies based on the stock markets information. У статті розглянуто роль рейтингових агентств у сучасній економічній системі. Зауважено на виключно важливій інформаційні функцій, що їм притаманна. В той же час проведений аналіз показав, що останнім часом діяльність рейтингових агентств була значною мірою дискредитована, на що існує цілий ряд як внутрішніх, так і зовнішніх при-чин.
