Subject of research: ways of formation of educational motivation of junior schoolchildren on subjects of language and literary educational branch. The purpose of the research: to theoretically substantiate and experimentally test the ways of formation of educational motivation of junior schoolchildren in the subjects of language and literature education. The paper finds that the main content of motivation in primary school age is "learning to learn".
