The goal of the research is to develop methods of evaluation and prediction of probabilistic indices of life of complicated engineering systems, including residual life. Research methods: methods of the theory of reliability, the applied theory of probability and mathematical statistics, neuron networks. The results obtained: methods of evaluation of probabilistic indices of life of complicated systems are developed; the upper evaluation of average life, based in the method of the minimal ways and sections (the operating time to elements failure is described by the Weibull's distribution), is obtained; methods for evaluating the probabilistic indices of residual life of complicated systems are elaborated; average and gamma-percent residual life of complicated systems is evaluated (the operating time to elements failure is described by distributions much used in the reliability theory); relationships linking the system residual life through residual life of elements for a structural reliability schematic in the form of n-series stochastically equivalent elements or m-parallel-connected stochastically equivalent elements are derived; asymptotic values of residual life for a number of reliability distributions are obtained; methods for predicting individual residual life of complicated systems in determinative and probabilistic statements are elaborated: determinative and statistic models for predicting individual life of complicated systems with stationary and no stationary loads (the basis for construction of determinative and statistic models is the principle of a linear damage summation, and log-normal distribution is used to construct a statistic model) are presented: models for predicting life of complicated systems, based on neuron networks and examination methods, by using an entropic coefficient of concordance are cited. Applications: complicated engineering systems. The results of the research can de used to evaluate and predict probabilisticindices of life of complicated engineering systems, including residual life, at the stage of design and operation.
